Walls that listen ... living walls that tell stories, layers of smells and sounds overlaid by time perpetuated in the portraits of those who inhabited this space and this memory. Archipelagos of lives woven into narrow corridors and dead ends, of daily lives shrunken into a space without secrets where a bed is made in a drawer, and where the walls are door and window for short days of horizon.

Different generations that cross paths on their daily journeys: on corners, in houses, on trees, in the garden... and meet in the desire to build an island where "one is all" and there are no (without) shadows of skyscrapers.

This show is a creation of PELE within the scope of the project "Portraits of the Islands - Bonfim beyond the facades" promoted by Rede Inducar and funded by the PARTIS program of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, which aims to promote spaces for participation and collective construction in the sense of recognition of the Islands as tangible and intangible heritage, through participatory photography and community theatre.
